USET’s History-Making World Equestrian Games Performance To Be Shown on Outdoor Life Network
The history-making performance of the United States Equestrian Team (USET) at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, will be shown on television in early December. U.S. riders, drivers and vaulters won a total of eight medals, doubling the U.S.’s best previous performance.

The Dressage Canada Board recently announced that effective January 1, 2003, the dressage tests for use in competitions will be the new, recently adopted USA Equestrian Inc. 2003 tests.
U.S. Grand Prix Freestyle Championship
The 2002-2003 U.S. Grand Prix Freestyle Championship/U.S. League Final will
be held in conjunction with the Miami Dade Winter Dressage CDI***. This
event will be held at the Tropical Park Equestrian Center in Miami, Florida
from February 21 - 23, 2003.
Valerie Kanavy Wins USET Endurance 100-Mile Championship
Two-time World Endurance Champion Valerie Kanavy, who has previously won the USET Endurance 50-Mile and 75-Mile Championships, won the first USET Endurance 100-Mile Championship held October 19 at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Area in Fair Hill, MD.
Global Dressage Forum
Further to the successful Forum organised last year, A Global Dressage Forum will be organised again on 21 and 22 October 2002. Among the main items on the agenda: evaluation by a judges panel, chaired by Mariette Withages (chairman of the FEI dressage committee), a trainers panel of the results of the WEG in Jerez. and a breeding seminar, presented by Dr. Klaus Miesner, breeding manager of the German National Federation at Warendorf.

McLain Ward of Brewster, NY defended his North American League (NAL) championship title winning the North American League $25,000 Open Jumper Speed Finals riding Galant at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in a time of 51.971 seconds.
