Inquiry Into Death of Two Endurance Horses at WEG

The FEI set up an inquiry to investigate the circumstances of the death of two horses during the Endurance ride of the World Equestrian Games on 16 September 2002 in Jerez de la Frontera (ESP). Sir Fire, ridden by Anna Maxenchs Serra (ESP), died after having completed the course and Floyd, ridden by Nik Isahak Wan Abdullah (MAS), on course during the fourth loop.

Maggie Jayne, 18, of Elgin, Illinois, defeated a field of 259 of the nation's top junior riders to win the 2002 USA/Pessoa National Hunter Seat Medal Final held Sunday, October 13, at the Pennsylvania National in Harrisburg, PA.
