Future of Eventing in the Olympics Discussed Via Webcast

USA Equestrian will host a webcast Forum to discuss the FEI Proposal to the IOC to retain eventing in the Olympic Program. The webcast will begin at 4PM ET Monday, October 14. This will be a follow up to the Forum being held this week during the Radnor CCI**.


Fair Hill to Host 2003 Pan American Eventing Championship

The Fair Hill International has been selected to host the Pan American Eventing Championship in 2003. Since there will be no eventing at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, next summer, the Fédération Equestre Internationale (International Equestrian Federation – FEI), has chosen the Fair Hill International to host a Pan American Eventing Championship at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Area, October 22-26, 2003.


USET Names Eventing Team and Individuals For World Equestrian Games

The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has announced the horse-and-rider combinations that will compete as the Eventing Team and as individuals for the United States at the 2002 World Equestrian Games (WEG) in Jerez, Spain, September 11-22.

In response to allegations made by USA Equestrian (USAE) President Alan Balch, the United States Equestrian Team (USET) has undergone extensive audits by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and by the independent audit firm, Eisner LLP. The two separate audits have found that the USET is in sound financial condition and that Mr. Balch’s allegations against the USET are totally without merit.
