Ontario Equestrian Federation 25th Anniversary Conference a Success

The 25th Anniversary Conference of the Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF), held November 22-24, 2002 at the Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston, experienced a phenomenal increase in attendance. The almost 400 delegates to this year’s meeting exceeded last year’s attendance by more than 150 equine enthusiasts.

The Ontario Equestrian Federation (OEF) honoured award recipients for 2002 at its Annual Banquet on Saturday, November 23rd. The Banquet was held in conjunction with the 25th Anniversary Conference at the Nottawasaga Inn in Alliston, Ontario.

At the British Eventing Golden Frolics Ball at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, Birmingham (23 November), the following were recognised for their achievements during the season.


De Leyer Named as Recipient of Pegasus Medal of Honour

Harry de Leyer, 75, of Dyke, VA, joins Charles Crabtree of Simpsonville, KY,
as a recipient of the 2002 USA Equestrian Pegasus Medal of Honor.

The 119th National Horse Show is proud to announce that it will host a specially-produced musical freestyle dressage exhibition when it hosts its 119th edition, and first at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington, FL, November 26 – December 1.


USA's Lisa Wilcox Dominates CDI*** Oldenburg

Lisa Wilcox, member of the Silver Medal dressage team at the World
Equestrian Games in Spain, won all the FEI-level classes at the
Internationale Oldenburger Pferdetage held November 8-10, in Oldenburg,
Germany. She led the Grand Prix by a sizeable margin aboard Relevant with an
impressive score of 78.20%. Anky Van Grunsven (NED), Sydney Olympic Gold
Medal winner, finished second with a 71.45% riding Gestion Krack C. Wilcox
is currently ranked 4th on the FEI/BCM Rankings.
