Veterinary issues were the focal point for the afternoon session at the inaugural FEI Sports Forum in Lausanne (SUI) today, which was attended by over 180 delegates from National Federations, the veterinary community, the International Jumping Riders Club and members of the media. Bart Poels of Belgium and Brett Raflowitz of Equestrian Services International of Palm City, Florida–partners in arena ventures around the world–have joined with the British company, Andrews Bowen Ltd., that was originally awarded the contract to provide the Olympic riding surface.

Todd in final four for NZ Sportsman of the Year

Equestrian legend Mark Todd is among the final four contenders for New Zealand Sportsman of the Year. Todd, 55, was nominated after his win in the three-day Badminton Horse Trials in April aboard Land Vision, where be beat a lineup of the world's best eventers. It was Todd's fourth win in the event.
