Hawley Bennett

Hawley Bennett grew up on a hobby farm and got her first pony, Thunder, when she was seven years old. After being involved with the 4-H Horse Club, Hawley joined the Grove and Langley Pony Club, achieving her B2 level.


Ian Roberts

Ian Roberts has a family history with horses as his grandfather rode in the British Army and the Calvary during the First World War. He spent 1978 in England as a working student for Bertie Hill and returned home to train with Liz Ashton. In 1982, Ian was named Canadian Intermediate Champion and was first long listed to the Canadian Team.


Bruce Mandeville

Bruce Mandeville is a true all-round athlete. At age 13, Bruce first discovered eventing, training with Canadian Olympian Nick-Holmes-Smith. As a competitive skier, Bruce won two B.C. championship slalom ski titles as a teenager. He earned three french diplomas from Université Sorbonne in Paris and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and his law degree from the University of British Columbia.


Garry Roque

Garry Roque recently began riding for Canada following a successful eventing career representing Bermuda.  After learning to ride as an eight-year-old, Garry completed his first three day event at the 1981 North American Young Riders’ Championship.


Canadian Eventing names Eventing Team for the 2004 Olympic Games

The Canadian Eventing Committee is pleased to announce the names of the Canadian Eventing Team and alternates for the 2004 Olympic Games.


Kim Severson and Winsome Adante Claim Second Victory inRolex Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI****

Kim Severson and Winsome Adante led the field from start to finish to claim victory in the 2004 CCI**** Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Bayer, held April 22-25, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY.
The winner in 2002, a broken leg prevented Severson from defending her title last year, but Three-Day Eventing fans were thrilled to see the 30-year-old Virginia native return to the winner’s circle.


Darren Chiacchia and Windfall II Victorious at Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event

Darren Chiacchia of Buffalo, NY, emerged victorious at the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event held April 21-25 in Lexington, Kentucky.

Competing in the Bayer Modified Four Star division open only to horse/rider combinations already qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece, Chiacchia earned the victory with a total score of 45.2 penalty points and ensured his position as one of the United States Equestrian Team’s top hopefuls for the Olympics.


IOC Executive Board Retains Eventing in Programme for Beijing 2008

The IOC Executive Board announced on 20 February evening a number of decisions on the disciplines and sports of the programme for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.


Two Members of Eventing Committee Honoured

The 2002 Medals of Honour of the British Equestrian Federation are awarded to persons who have provided outstanding services in the equestrian field. Two members of the Eventing Committee were nominated, Michael Etherington-Smith, well-known director and course-designer of Blenheim and 2000 Olympic course designer, and William Henson, Director of Burghley since 1987 and representative of the Organisers within the Committee.
