Millar Posts Only Clear to Win CN Grand Prix at Bromont International

It took only one round for Ian Millar and his 10-year-old Holsteiner gelding, In Style, to win the $75,000 CN Grand Prix at Bromont International Sunday.  They were the only duo out of the 25 entered that were able to complete the course set by Brazil’s Guilherme Jorge without any faults.

USA Region 2 Wins Team Gold Medal in Dressage at 2005 NAYRC

USA Region 2 won the team Gold Medal in dressage at the 2005 CN North American Young Riders’ Championships (NAYRC) presented by Adequan.  The 2005 NAYRC are being held at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, VA, the Championships’ first appearance in the mid-Atlantic region.


Cudomore and Conejo Win Kubota Cup Grand Prix at Bromont

Karen Cudmore and her 12-year-old Holsteiner stallion Conejo won the $60,000 Kubota Cup Grand Prix at Bromont International Saturday, serving notice that the powerful duo that represented Canada at the 2002 World Equestrian Games is again a force to be reckoned with.  Three weeks ago they won the World Cup Qualifier in Blainville, QC, Conejo’s first Grand Prix outing since he was injured in 2002.

Jimmy Torano extended his winning streak to four major victories in three weeks of competition at the Vermont Summer Festival running July 13 to August 14 in East Dorset, VT.


Ontario Junior/Young Rider Team Claims Silver Medal

The Ontario Team brought home the Silver Medal for the second year in a row in the Junior/Young Rider Division. Led by Hannah Anderson of Caledon East, ON, who posted one of only three double clear rounds seen all day, the Ontario Team placed behind Gold Medal winner USA Zone 2 and ahead of Team Bronze Medalists, USA Zone 10.

The Vermont Summer Festival is now sanctioned by Equine Canada, the national body for equestrian sport in Canada. For Canadian Olympian Beth Underhill, who will be competing in the $30,000 Battenkill Grand Prix on Sunday, July 17, there were also other factors that figured into her decision to compete at the Vermont horse show for the first time.
