Sweden’s Peder Fredricson Wins Round 2 of the FEI Jumping World Cup Finals
The ecstatic home crowd saw Sweden’s Peder Fredricson sweep to victory with Catch Me Not in tonight’s second competition at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final 2019 in Gothenburg (SWE), rocketing him up to second place on the overall leaderboard. But it is tonight’s runner-up, Spain’s Eduardo Alvarez Aznar, who lies in pole position going into Sunday’s two-round title-decider.
A fence down saw yesterday’s winner, Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat, drop to third ahead of fellow-countryman Martin Fuchs, Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels and Olivier Philippaerts and defending champion America’s Beezie Madden in joint-fourth spot. In eighth place, Poland’s Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski is only a single fence off the leader.
