Canadian Dressage Young Riders Move on to NAYRC Individual Final

Following the Individual Championship Dressage Test at the Maui Jim North American Young Riders' Championships, presented by CN, all the Canadian dressage riders have qualified to proceed to the Musical Freestyle Final on Sunday.

Riding Quintesse in the Individual Championship Test, Julie Watchorn, Schomberg, ON, earned a score of 66.600% which placed her in a tie for third and moved her in to second place overall in the individual standings with 132.911. Canada West individual, Stephanie Koepke of Calgary, AB, and Flanero received 66.050% in the Individual Championship Test. The duo is currently in sixth place heading to the Final with a total score 131.161. In first place is Christina Beal of US Region 7 with a combined score of 137.611.

Alexandra Hosein, Wellington, NS, is currently in ninth place aboard Lucky Star and Veronique Lavallee, St-Lazare, QC, and Prime Tyme are in 13th spot.

The top 15-horse/rider combinations after the Team and Individual Championship Tests move on to the final portion of the competition, the Musical Freestyle Test, on Sunday.
